As Orangemittens is wondering why people use certain Avatars here on the forum, my question is where your Forum names are coming from? Some will use their real names, like Andrew I think... But most of us, will use nicknames. As for myself, Bakie is a nickname I already have since primary school because of my last name.  Where did your Forum name come from? |

Im glad to hear your username comes from your lastname, rather then "being baked" lol 
Hmm... my username used to be JojoRyan, mostly because Jojo is my nickname, and my Swedish lastname was too wierd for others to understand, so i picked Ryan because I had a crush on Lee Ryan from the boyband Blue.  (please remember I was like 11 when i picked that)
So I kinda stuck with it, but when I sign up for things that username is almost always taken, so I started thinking about a new username when I were to join this site actually.
And I wanted something unique.... so my friends from when i studied my eastern African course calls me Mzungu, we all got called Mzungu while being there.
It's a term for White Person/Rich white person, which at first made me very upset because I dont go around and call other people names so being there and being called Mzungu all the time was upsetting to me, but then my Kenyan friend Lazarus explained to me that they dont mean it in a bad way and that he himself have been called Mzungu a few times and they can call people when they are dressed up nice Mzungu, if they are the boss they get called Mzungu, if they are white or rich too. So... It wasent a bad word, like we first thought, so after that I bought a Mzungu tshirt and since then the nickname from my African friends have stuck.
And it's fun too, because I know only people who's been to Africa knows what it means. (except for now)
So I went with J-Mzungu. At first I was only going to take Mzungu, but the tumblr adress were already taken + I figured I couldent shift too much away from my former username.
So that was the freakingly loooooooooong tale about my nickname....

That was a nice bedtime story/tale J Mzungu! Next time I want more sensation and I missed the humor To bad it's noon and not already bedtime..or actually that isn'bad at all...anywayyyzz... A crush on Lee Ryan I'll bet you're secretly still having a crush on him now. I already thought Mzungu sounded very african. But thanks for the explaination |

How you guys created your names are actually really interesting.. I never knew Mzungu meant that. I likie So, how I got my name is because my first name is Anna, and my favorite color since I was six was always blue. Or to be more specific; cyan. And over the past few years I'd begin to love my first name(because when I was like 4 I'd scream at my parents, asking why they named me this), so I created annabluu. |

I was reading through some of these posts...funny stuff. Orange Mittens - purely' guesstimating, She is very Talented with Blender, ( Orange icon), hence - "Orange Mittens". Plus, only guesstimating again, maybe a Strawberry Blonde/Red hair color....who knows?
Sometimes it's nice to remain Mysterious. It drives people Crazy...ha!
And my SPELLING is Horrible sometimes....Friday..2 Beers, my appologies.

My forum name was actually very carefully chosen... I started with "A" because it is the first letter in the name of the love of my life. I wanted a new forum name, so I next chose "N" for new. "D" represents the death of my old forum names. "R" is for the re-birth of a new forum name. "E" is for the evolution of my online existence. And finally "W" was chosen because Andre didn't suit me and in real life, my name is actually Andrew, so it just made perfect sense. |

Very creative andrew : I suppose you had to have a story lol J Mzungu I was always interested in your name so I am now glad I know why its Mzunga haha becuase that did not sound Swedish lol Bakie I personally thought it was becuase you liked to bake annabluu Cute! I as well would like to know orangemittens story to her name. Its super cute. I choose mine because I really enjoy oxymoron and I could never find one good enough to be my username, I wanted something dark but also sweet, something kind of like an illusion. I ended up using Sweet Sorrow, it seemed to stand out to me, (I had like a page long with names, it was that, blindeyesims - another story another time, couchpotatoesims - because isn't that what we do? or freezerbunnysims - cause thats to cute) Plus Sweet Sorrow is from Shakespeare which is beautiful but not the reason I choose the name. Oh and my when shortened it would be SSS which is awesome and that won my name game lol. I also feel SweetSorrow has a deeper meaning, makes you think... |
