So I will start of course since I started the thread.  I have been sort of out of it these last few days. I'm going through my second IVF try. First IVF try was last year in June. The start was delayed till July because of thyroid levels. The embryo retrieval was in August three viable embryos none for freezing. After the three day incubation they were all B's but fragmented. Transfer was on August 18th. Conclusion failed attempt.  We started are second and last try on June 7th. Beginning was better no extended delay on starting. This time injections were three twice a day. Injections extended for two days. Retrieval was on Monday the 13th. Again only three embryos retrieved, so none for freezing. This time all 3 are B's with no fragmentation. I am now on the dreadful two week wait. Well one week is done one to go. Pregnancy test is scheduled for July 24th.  I know this might be to personal for some or you might be to young to know this stuff. But I just need to get it out there i'm starting to go stir crazy.  On a Sims do you like the new Spa day? |

Ah, Fertility.
Sorry to hear about that. About 10 years back, my Wife decided that she wanted another Baby and we had to go to Essen, (The Main Town/City in Germany that does these things.). She was told by her Gyno Doc that with the right Treatment, it could be possible.
She was taking Fertility shots, but also had a problem with Diabetes back then.
I was not too keen on the Idea, she was pushing 40 and I was pushing 38 - We have a Healthy Son; I was content.
So off to Essen and the Strange.
For a Guy, it's an uncomfortable procedure - 5 Huge vials of Blood, (I hate Needles and Blood - Blah!). Then, you have to masterbate in this Room with 2-way mirrors; I'm not making this up, Nurses are watching you - had to close my eyes and really concentrate... ;°P.
There were a lot of Poor German guys who kept coming out, back to the Waiting area - "No Go's".
What I referred to @ the Time: "Repeat Offenders" - my' Sick Humor...
In the end, it just wasn't working out, something to do with the Egg size/thing.
It can be very depressing, it was for my Wife. I kept telling her to be Happy that we have a Healthy Son, some don't ever have any kids and must Adopt.

O my I can't believe they watched you. That is not how it's done here in Texas. My hubby had the easy part just a the ,you know what (trying to keep it clean), collection is all he had to do. I'm going to be 40 next year and my hubby will be 39. So age and money is why this is are last go and not to mention the hardship it puts my body through.
This is my third marriage and last. I had kids with my first two husbands but then decided to have a Tubal Ligation after having my third kid. I did not think I would get divorced a second time. I don't see my kids from previous marriage (Reason long story).
We really want to have kids but if it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be. We were lucky that our first try was kind of a gift. We sold my hubys father's Mustang for the chance of kids. He had passed right before our wedding. So it was like his baby for our baby.

Yeah, that's about the age thing 50/50.
Life is short, do what you feel is right for you. Just remember, if things don't go as planned - it's not the end of the World.

We are in Austin what my hubby calls Texafornia (Texas/California). I'm originally from Cali and hubby from New Mexico. I love it here mines the cider allergies.

OMG I have such a big headache and I can't take anything for it but tylenol witch dos nothing for me.

I get a very bad headache once in a while for which no painkillers help but peppermint does. Not sure if it's an ordinary headache or something else.

Sorry to hear that. Whenever I have a headache and no painkillers, I take a hot bath and put my head in the water. Makes me feel better, even though I sometimes get water in my ears, and then hear noises for a while after.

Ya I would love to do so but I can't take a bath or go swimming (not that I would) till after Friday. One of the restrictions during IVF.

I found a Job yesterday, so my Modding Days look like they just went out the window - Weekends, maybe. Not the greatest job in the world, metal factory and 4am Catch the Train grind - but a Job, is a Job.
Hey, almost Sunday...blah. hehehe
°Speaking of Headaches, had a headache so bad once - literally, had to lean over to let the Blood rush to my head for 5 minute intervals and a wet washcloth on the neck. Went on for hours, head over the side of the Bed...groaning...ahhhhhhhh.....ahhhhhhhh...
It gives me a Headache just remembering that. Erg!
