Hey guys! Are you like me and want to have a nice talk or something with your fellow S4S members but pretty much every thread in the "General Chat" category is more about asking questions than starting conversations (not that there's anything wrong with that)? My goal with this is to have this thread function like a normal chatroom. Feel free to post in here what you want! The only condition is that it can't be about needing help with s4s or the mod you're currently working on. If you need help, it's better to do that elsewhere. So let's start off something with a nice, little question: What's your favorite expansion pack from your favorite sims game? You can talk about your favorite EP from all 4 games or just from your favorite game. For me, I really, really liked the Supernatural EP from Sims 3. I absolutely love playing with occult states in the sims which is why I am kind of disappointed that there really aren't that many in Sims 4. Having a whole pack dedicated to occult states plus victorian fashion/furniture is exactly the kind of thing that appealed to me.
Except the sparkling vampires and the many references to Twilight. Though, there was a mod to fix the sparkly vampires so I can look past that...

ohhh ... well, the sims 1 not long ago, because I have a huge trauma that they stole when they just moved ... of the sims 2 I played a little bit too but I also stayed a trauma (xD) although I still play when they took my little blond daughter because she did not know why she was upset (she was hungry) in the sims 3 my favorite expansion is also supernatural creatures (I love magic) sorcerers are the ones I love the most and from the sims 4 I have 2 favorite expansions cats and dogs and the four seasons cats and dogs because I loved to customize the animal to your liking (color wheel) aside I love that there are many things for cats and the sims 4 seasons then ... because I love the things that it brings, the screen of the beginning is very adorable

I love me my vampires but witches/sorcerers are my second favorite. Rumor has it that EA might be working on something witch-related in the near future! and from the sims 4 I have 2 favorite expansions cats and dogs and the four seasons cats and dogs because I loved to customize the animal to your liking (color wheel) aside I love that there are many things for cats and the sims 4 seasons then ... because I love the things that it brings, the screen of the beginning is very adorable Seeing the color wheel back in the sims was a great sight to see. Now if only they took that color wheel and applied it to other parts of the game... I don't have Seasons yet but I've heard nothing but good things about it!

All time favorite Sims Expansion pack was Makin' Magic for the Sims 1. I miss a whole town dedicated to magic with theme park rides and special hunts and gardening. I miss getting a dragon egg and caring for it. I want a Makin' magic pack for the Sims 4.

Hey guys! I changed the title of the thread and tweaked the top post to better describe what I wanted to use this thread for! To keep the conversation going, I'm going to ask another question: What's your LEAST favorite Expansion Pack to date? This can be an EP you bought and disliked or one you saw and refused to buy. For me, I don't have a least favorite EP from Sims 2. I really never bothered with any of the Sims 3 stuff packs (minus Movie Stuff) but the one Expansion pack I refused to get was Into the Future. That's mostly because I prefer playing with sims from the past instead of the future (that being said, I think EA would've done great if Sims Medieval was actually just like Sims but Medieval instead of a weird RPG kind of game...(though, I still liked it.). For Sims 4, I also don't really care for most of the stuff packs. I think Cats and Dogs full price has been a major let-down. It only had two pets, the pets can't be controlled, the interactions are basically identical to the ones in Sims 3, no strays in other neighborhoods, etc. Feel free to either put your answer down below or play Devil's Advocate against anything I said!

My favorite EPs:
I have one favorite from each sims (except for the first one, that I only had the base game for it). For the Sims 2 was, and will always be, Open for Business. I loved the large number of options you had in that expansion when it comes to open your own business on the sims, how could you have any business that your mind could imagine, or even have mixed business in one place. For TS3, Supernatural won my heart. As for Ts4, seasons won the first place on my list the exact day I put my hands on it.
My least favorite EPs:
If I had to add all the accessory packs I dislike my list would be reaaaaally big. I always though half of them were unnecessary packs, that there was no need for them since they really didn't add anything new (only aesthetic accessories). And that was my main problem with TS3, but there's just one EP that I refused to buy and if I got it was because my mother bought it for me as a gift: Into the Future. When it first came out I thought 'oh, it looks cool!' and I was ready to save some money to get it, but after watch someone playing it I changed my mind. Some features were really cool, I can't deny that, but it wasn't my thing. Now, let's start with TS4. As much as I do love the game and the content included, there are some packs I think that were useless and it could have been either a free update or being included on another expansion, so I have a weird hate/love for them. The only one that I have 0 love for and 100% dislike is "My First Pet Stuff". A pack for a pack? Please, EA, tell me more. I wish I could put my hands on that lil cute rodent that is included, but everything else... is a big no for me.

I recently got Seasons for TS4 but college has also just started so I haven't gotten a lot of playtime out of it to make a concrete decision but so far it seems great! My least favorite EPs: If I had to add all the accessory packs I dislike my list would be reaaaaally big. Now, let's start with TS4. As much as I do love the game and the content included, there are some packs I think that were useless and it could have been either a free update or being included on another expansion, so I have a weird hate/love for them. Most of TS4's stuff packs are inoffensive or just not interesting enough to get (though I do really like Vintage Glamour and Spooky Stuff) but My First Pet Stuff was a big step in the wrong direction.

I haven't had the chance to play any of the Sims 1 games. Though, from what I heard, Makin' Magic would've probably been my favorite, too! I am all on board for a pack like that to come to the Sims 4!! ohh, heavens, all this was nee, I love magic so much: D thank you for sharing your thought I agree with Monas!

Hello again! I'm not sure if I'm going to be continually updating this, but I will every once in awhile for fun. Today we have a new question to talk about! What's a feature that you really want added to the Sims 4? It could exist in another Sims game or be completely new. I honestly am really excited about the recent talk of adding disabilities to the game. It's never been in any of the Sims iterations and I've always wanted to have the options for blind, deaf or immobile sims. The closest we got to this before was the canes for elder sims from Sims 3 Generations. Besides that, it's been through mods. The Sims team seem like they really want to add this to the game sometime in the future. I also want magic in the game, which, according to the last poll from the sims team about what the community wanted, witches won so I might just get my wish soon. I mean, they did it with Laundry Day so I don't think it's too far of a stretch.

ahh ... well let's see .. I would like them to add color wheel but in a realistic way explain it in my ideas post so here I make a super summary: it should be an external tool because not everyone likes customization or just one color if you buy the pack of content "dressmakers in action" you would get the profession of dressmaker, hairdresser and interior designer the issue is that the simgurus took my ideas from the graphic tablet that I had posted before and some other things (for that profession that I am loving it from now) but anyway: the dressmaker would choose the fabric between at least 10 basic colors but if you have the wheel color tool (external to the game) you could change it to other tones but that would have an update cost like in the sims 2 when you wanted to change and that I know it does not explain me well but I was not going to put a copy and paste the post xD the tool would be free of charge! as he creates your pattern of the sims 3 but modernized
Other: 3d printer because in real life they exist and are amazing there would be 230 different models
other: drones because I love how they carry things to others haha
Other: robots because in real life there are and in the sims 3 and I think the sims 2 as a servo or something of that existed and what I saw in gameplays were cool: D (is that each game has a lot of things to experience and I have clear personal life xD)
Other: Magic magic as you say, the art of magic mod is great but we need official magic if yes!
oops I think you had to write just one ... sorry xD

Yesss! I would love adding a color wheel into the game. It would save so much time and be so much easier to recolor stuff than through mods. But I also think it'd be cool to customize clothes in game like you said, through a fashion career! Other: 3d printer because in real life they exist and are amazing there would be 230 different models other: drones because I love how they carry things to others haha Other: robots because in real life there are and in the sims 3 and I think the sims 2 as a servo or something of that existed and what I saw in gameplays were cool: D (is that each game has a lot of things to experience and I have clear personal life xD) I love the idea of adding more technology into the game. Usually, the robotic stuff like that would be in the Career-themed Expansion Packs like Sims 2 Open for Business, Sims 3 Ambitions and Sims 4 Get to Work. However, they didn't really have that in Get to Work. Maybe they'll have some sort of "Inventor Game Pack" or something with all the technology you mentioned in it. Other: Magic magic as you say, the art of magic mod is great but we need official magic if yes! I wonder how they'll do it. Maybe it'll be the reagent system in Sims 2 or the Magic Power Meter thing from Sims 3. It might even end up being like a combination of the two games as it is in the Art of Magic mod. oops I think you had to write just one ... sorry xD It's fine! I put two in most post, so it's not a big deal!

I'd like to see some sports career in some way with really acrobatic sports or/and extreme sports.
Like Tricking/parkour/free running or acrobatic gymnastic. Let's say you would have to go to the gymnasium and use lots of different equipment like, bars, floor etc. Depending on your sims' advancement in the career, you'd then perform better at the activity. (the same way sims run poorly on a treadmill and get better with their Athletic lvl).
Or maybe something like skateboard, BMX, inline skate. Same concept. with an area dedicated to it where you travel to when you have the career.
But all in all, I wish they would make all the old career interactive. As it is the most fun for me in the game when I actually play. I really have those short time goals you need to fulfil to get better at the job. Pretty sweet.

I would love more interactive careers. I don't really see why the Sims team couldn't make this possible. Sports careers would also be interesting because there has never been an interactive sport career despite tons of sport activities being available in the game. Great ideas!

So this next question is less Sims themed, but more Halloween oriented: If you celebrate Halloween, what are you going to dress up as? Optional Sims related follow-up: feel free to post a picture of your simself in costume! Even though I'm too old for trick-or-treating and no trick-or-treaters ever show up at my house, I still like to dress up! This year, me and my girlfriend are dressing up as Bonnie and Clyde. Last year, we dressed up as Edgar Allan Poe and his wife Virginia. For my simself, I decided to dress him up in the Dia de los Muertos costume that came in an early patch of the Sims 4. I really love this costume and I was happy to take the opportunity to dress him up in it!
