To start with, I have no idea where this should be posted, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place. :/
As stated above, I'm playing Sims 4 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS through Wine (with PlayOnLinux). I'm getting the lights/mirrors "Script call failed"-bug which, after a quick search, I've learned can be fixed with a bug patch through S4S. So of course I've tried installing S4S through POL in the same prefix as Origin/TS4 are installed, but it seems like something's not quite right. When I try to run it it immediately crashes, and as I'm fairly new to Linux myself I would need help figuring out the error log messages.
Error log:
[08/05/17 17:09:54] - Running wine- S4Studio.exe (Working directory : /home/navigatr/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/origin/drive_c/Program Files/Sims 4 Studio) fixme:mscoree:ConfigFileHandler_startElement Unknown element L"dependentAssembly" in state 0 fixme:mscoree:ConfigFileHandler_startElement Unknown element L"assemblyIdentity" in state 6 fixme:mscoree:ConfigFileHandler_startElement Unknown element L"bindingRedirect" in state 6 fixme:mscoree:ConfigFileHandler_startElement Unknown element L"dependentAssembly" in state 0 fixme:mscoree:ConfigFileHandler_startElement Unknown element L"assemblyIdentity" in state 6 fixme:mscoree:ConfigFileHandler_startElement Unknown element L"bindingRedirect" in state 6 The entry point method could not be loaded due to Could not load file or assembly 'PresentationFramework, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. Any help at all is much appreciated.

Hi Navigatr, I am fairly certain that Sims4Studio is an .NET WPF application and from what I have found here, WINE will not run applications created with WPF. WINE is using a stripped down version of .NET (called MONO) which while cross platform (Linux/MAC/etc), does not come with all features used in Windows. Hope that helps, Erasimus

Hello Navigatr
If you want to run windows programs under linux it is better to set up a vituelle machine. The programs are free, for example, Vmware or VirtualBox, so you do not have restrictions like Wine. It should be noted, however, that the computer also has sufficient power since he has 2 operating systems to handle. Not to forget the windows operating system must be done in the virtual machine as a normal installation on hard disk including net components etc. If you notice all this you have a running Windows operating system as a window under Linux and you can use all programs.
Have Fun PG
