Since I want to participate in the Sims 4 Studio section of this forum (bug reports, suggestions, translations, ...) but I'm not really of the talkative type, I am wondering how active I need to be to get access again? Is there a minimum of posts required?

hi! For what i've seen the status of the account changes from "member" to "studio member" around the 50 posts count. And there's many ways to contribute here, for example on the discussion threads, the wcif, the creator help where you can give others a hand. Is there a particular reason or problem that you're having that you need to post it in the bugs section?

Thank you a lot! The latest issue was adressed in the new versions so for now there is no bug to report from my side, but it'd be nice to be able to do that again in the future.
But I actually wanted to suggest something: I noticed that in the latest versions the batch export of textures always results in them being rle2image.dds. However, when individually exported you can choose between png and dds. In earlier s4s versions, the files were exported as .rle2image which could be converted into png just by renaming (which does not work for dds to png). So I wanted to suggest to implement an option to choose a file format when using the batch export similar to how it is for the individual export.

If you have a suggestion, you can post it in the wishlist thread. I checked and the last user that posted there has far less tan 50 posts on their account, so i don't think you should have a problem either.

Posts in the wish list section are set at 50. People with a Creator Studio can post there also whether they have 50 posts or not as many creators participate by sharing but don't like chit-chatting. Many creators here are new to creating and don't feel ready to jump in and help others too. Others like helping people but prefer to post their creations on their own site. While I sympathize with not being talkative, there are many ways to contribute here that don't require chit-chatting. Sharing your content in the Creator Studio section (sharing content you've posted elsewhere is fine), sharing a tutorial, sharing pics from your game, and answering questions from new people in the Creator Help section (which isn't really chatting per se) are all ways of participating. There really is no need to feel you must make superficial small talk to be a participant here. Tbh, I really hope people don't see that number and make superficial small talk posts just to get 50 posts because that won't really help. Participating is sharing your content, helping others, or contributing to the general milieu. It isn't making a bunch of superficial posts. The number is arbitrary. I don't know how else to keep that thread from being filled with posts from people who come here with a single thing they want and never appear here again, or people who only come here only with demands for new features and complaints about things that aren't working for them. The Studio project is about generating a supportive and sharing modding community here. Again, I can sympathize with people who aren't very talkative. But this is the goal of the project and the settings on the sections here reflect that goal. Sharing knowledge, creations, pics, or chat all work

Thanks for your answers! I will post my suggestion at a later stage then
Please don't get me wrong, I was just asking because a really high number of posts required would be discouraging from the start. If you don't want the number to be known I can delete the thread, of course. I do see where you are coming from

Hi remussirion, you're welcome. Thank you for your understanding. I know many people resent or dislike post count requirements, and I'm not a wild fan of them myself. However, I was a bit worn out from seeing threads filled with requests, complaints, and bug reports from people who come here to grab Studio but do all their community sharing/particpation elsewhere. We upload Studio with no strings attached, but here in our forum we would like to reserve special areas for people who treat the forum like a viable Sims 4 community and not just the app store.
It's fine to leave the thread in place. I have no problem with people understanding the rules and why we have them.

I'm trying to participate here but with real life medical issues and people passing away in my family, it's so hard getting involved with this site, but thankyou for all those tutorials on recolouring as I'm still new to that and when I do come on here, I read a lot of pages that have turorials for recolouring and watch Bakie's video's on YouTube when I get a chance and see what everyone has created with the Sims4Studio tool. thank you for creating such a wonderful site where i can come back and read and see people's creations! Thanks Again! TG

Sharing knowledge, creations, pics, or chat all work I'm only interested in adding suggestions and error reports, perhaps. But now I have to deal with stupid flooding instead of practical things. I cant post, I cant offer something really important and help people. Considering that a few my of wishes have already been used and have been effective. Well, this is your decision. I do not even know how it will be less flood, if you forbid to post or force. People whose English is not native is more difficult just readin/chatting.

My problem is that I can't post or comment anywhere in order to get up to 50 posts in order to be able to post on the wish list or to post on the help/bug threads. If you can't post anywhere how do you ever get to the required amount of posts to be able to do that?

you posted here just now which gained you another point towards the 50 posts goal. I'm bad in English and not talkative. I just wanted to make a suggestion for S4S, but I can't do it. What a pity! :'(
