This section is where you can report issues with and ask questions about something you downloaded from a Creator Studio. Please read the following important information before posting.
If you're having trouble getting a mod to work as expected:
2. Double check to see if the creator has listed any known incompatibilities of conflicts with other mods. Some mods, such as Andrew's Pose Player, VFX Player, and some other animation-related mods, contain a ts4script file. Ensure that you extract files for such mods into your Sims 4\Mods folder, or one folder within, e.g. Sims 4\Mods\mods with scripts - if you put it too deep in sub-folders the game may not find it.
3. If you've just installed a particular creator's mod, you may want to try testing your game with that mod by itself by temporarily moving your other mods to a alternate location.
4. In the same folder as your Mods folder, check for a lastException.txt (LE) file. If it has a date and time matching the last time you tried to play the game with the new mod, the last few lines in this file might give some clues as to why the mod isn't working as expected. It's often helpful to include the LE file when you post for help with a mod and you're not sure what the LE file is trying to tell you.
If the above troubleshooting steps don't solve the issue, note the circumstances and details of what you observed when trying these steps, and post that info here.
Follow these rules and instuctions:
1. Be polite. If you're letting someone know there is a problem with an item they made, please be nice about it. This is rule number 1, and it is the bare minimum standard. That is to say, if you do not follow this rule, your post will be deleted without notice.
2. Tag the creator, so they see your post. To tag someone, place an @ directly in front of their name (no space between the symbol and the name). This will turn their name into a clickable link and notify them that they've been tagged. It will appear in bold font like this: orangemittens (please note, for most members, the color will be blue instead of orange). If adding the @ does not turn the person's name into a clickable link, the creator's screen name is different than their username. To find the correct name, you can hover over their name in the Creator Studio list. This will make a small popup box appear that shows the name you need to use to tag that person. If you do not tag the creator this way, please do not be offended if a staff member adds that tag for you.
3. Name your post with the name of the item that you're discussing in the post. For example, Issue with Orangemittens' Mission Clock Default Override.
4. Providing a link to the post where you downloaded the item is optional but very helpful. I highly recommend providing a link to the post because it makes it easier to help you.
5. Be patient. Please remember that creators, like you, have real lives outside of this forum. They may not be able to respond to you immediately. Keep a sense of perspective. It is not an earth-shattering crisis if a piece of CC doesn't work as expected and the issue isn't something to panic about. Do not continue to post over and over and do not start multiple threads about the same thing or to the same person. Like rule number one, this kind of activity will result in your posts being removed.
WHAT THIS SECTION IS NOT FOR:
1. Requests. DO NOT USE THIS SECTION TO MAKE REQUESTS. We have a Requests section HERE. If you post a request in this section, your post will be removed.
2. Rudeness. See rule number 1. Also, see rule number 5.
3. Comments about the item. There is a comment box at the bottom of each download post. That is the place to post general comments about someone's creation.
4. Questions about items that you did not download from a Creator Studio. If you didn't download it from a Creator Studio, this is not the place to discuss it, and your post will be removed.
5. Reporting problems with Sims 4 Studio (Harmony) or Sims 4 Studio (Appletini). If you post about these here, your post will be removed.
Creators with a Creator Studio: please feel welcome to include a mention of and link to this section in your upload posts (but do not feel obligated to do so).
If you're having trouble getting a mod to work as expected:
1. Ensure your Sims 4 game is fully up to date. Some game updates require corresponding updates to the mods here in the Creator Studios. Likewise some mods are updated to accommodate change in the game and are not backward compatible with older versions of the game.
2. Double check to see if the creator has listed any known incompatibilities of conflicts with other mods. Some mods, such as Andrew's Pose Player, VFX Player, and some other animation-related mods, contain a ts4script file. It's often helpful to include the LE file when you post for help with a mod and you're not sure what the LE file is trying to tell you.
