ideally i need an invisible left and right arm ( individually ) both legs individually as well both legs gone together and a full body invisible so that i can have a floating head. I know cc breaks stuff on accident lol but I wan an intentional cc item to do this so it doesnt break anything else i know its an odd request i need it for a special effect.
i found one for the head! now i just need one for individual limbs ( i found one that removes just the torso but its not what i need i need like just an arm gone .)

Would you mind sharing where you got the invisible head and torso cc? I'm trying to get an entire sim to disappear but for now the head and body are good enough.

I've been trying that so that I can make an amputee sim. It seems that because the arms-and-torso and the legs are meshed together, it's a more difficult thing than you would think :cry
I'm trying to learn more about sliders but there doesn't seem to be a good tut out there on them. Otherwise, I would make one!

i have come to find that out myself if the arms are missing the torso also disappears. i have seen this accomplished in sims 3 though but i know sliders had a different type of function in sims 3 compared to sims 4? i didnt play s3 so i don't really know. I do know though that i have seen robotic arms for a single arm in s4 but changing the mesh for the arm seems to be different then making it disappear altogether i guess? i have had custom contact remove just a wrist or a hand and i constantly wonder why i cant recreate that error over a whole arm lol and cheat my way through it but alas i cant keep corrupt cc in the game for something like that lol im sure someone will figure it out at least , here's hoping.

My guess is that you can use CC that is missing its mesh. If you come across a recolor of a clothing item for a pack you don't own, then you can download that and the body section will become invisible when the item is equipped. I think a long sleeved shirt, pants, and shoes will do. If you're only trying to remove one arm and not the other, that can be an issue, since they seem to work arm-in-arm (no pun intended :P ). As for the teeth, you might be able to go into the S4S program, open up some base game or cc teeth, and remove the mesh from the file. I don't know if the mesh can be removed or not, but I assume that it can be. You then save the package and put that in your game. I'm too lazy to try this, so if you do try then let me know if it works or not. I hope that is somewhat useful!

The problem is that the whole torso is a mesh, including the arms and hands. Even if I've made a mesh with an amputated arm, it simply comes back in game for some odd reason. Will get back to it at some point and see if I can figure it out, but for now I've got a LONNNNNNNG list of other CC I wanna do. Was thinking a bone slider might do the trick, but I don't know much about sliders and I don't have the time right now to figure it out.

So yeah, it can be done for a full body. Also, the head, torso, feet can be done too. (As you can see here: modthesims.info/download.php?t=540246) I think they used TSR Workshop. You can set a null-head or null-body on it. The problem is, I don't think you can set a null for only one arm, because it's part of the whole torso mesh. I hate TSR Workshop, so I might not work with it. It's not a user-friendly tool. So sure, go ahead Would be great if you can figure it out!

I don't know if you're still looking, but I managed to find a set of presets to remove? or at least make it look like the body parts are removed. It was helpful for me to make my simself, and it's the best one I've been able to find. Hopefully if you were still looking for something, this is helpful to you. modthesims.info/d/678311/amputee-presets.html
