I'm wondering if an artistically inclined person would be interested in tackling making me a transporter pad. Basically what I'd want you to do is design it like it was going to be a shower. It's default would be like the first picture below (except with only 1 pad, not 6 like they show there) and then when the sim is using it, create the swirly effects like this. To be honest, this is for a project that's mostly on the back burner for now, but that's largely because I have no artistic skills and don't know if anyone would be in to making stuff like this. 
But if I did find someone willing to do this kinda stuff, well... one thing that's always bugged me about Star Trek over the last fifty years is its insistence with staying confined to military sci-fi stories aboard starships. I think there'd be a lot of cool things to explore about civilian life against that 24th Century backdrop, and I think a Sims 4: 24th Century Edition modpack would be a cool way to go about doing it.
Anyway, this transporter is the first step. If someone can make one for me, I'm pretty sure I can tune the XML files to make it "work" by rerouting it as the way sims enter and exit a lot.
