There have been a lot of people asking for a mattress that can go on an empty bedframe based on EA's bedframe size but there was no easily recolorabloe mattress available. I used Sims 4 Studio (Flora) to remove the frame meshes from the EA mattress, give the mattress increased comfort scores, and added some pretty bedding recolors too.
Feel free to recolor it. I would appreciate it if you left "made with Sims 4 Studio" in the description but it isn't required to recolor and share the mattress. I would love to see your recolors so if you make some also feel free to post pictures of your beddings here or in our pictures forum. I hope you will enjoy it. The download is below the first picture and all pictures are in-game screenshots.

veranka, I don't think this was just one person's idea. I personally thought EA should have done that ages ago in previous Sims games, just for the sake of bed frame giving decor scores and mattress providing actual comfort. I always found it odd that you cannot upgrade a mattress in a bed that you would rather keep, instead buying a whole new bed was necessary, while it might not even match your bedroom's decor.

I was one of the people having trouble recolouring your mattress, Veranka. Hitting ctrl+shift+c and typing buydebug seems simple enough, but I had no idea that's what I had to do to get your mattress to show up. I should've contacted you first, but I mistakenly assumed it was an issue with S4S. For that, I apologise, to you and the creators of S4S.
Anyway, I do think separating the frame and mattress was a marvelous idea and I am really grateful that you came up with it. Please don't feel bad! <3

It's one of those things where you Think you are the First to Discover, or do something.
Then find out later, maybe not. It happens.
Eating Crow is so much nicer with French Fries and Ketchup....
I think everyone has had that Dish @ least once.
