I attempted it but the number of pixels for use in a hat is so small, I couldn't get it to look decent.

OK, so it turns out my plans for tonight were canceled! So I made the cap

I used the following cap as my model:




A note, like Leniad warned, cap textures aren't high res. BUT I think in this case it makes the C look like it was stitched

So here's what it looks like in game:
