Hi everbody,
is it possible to create a wall with the mirror texture? i would like to have a complete mirrored wall where i can put other things on it like paintings or lamps but i have no idea if it is even possible to use the mirror texture (dont know if it is a texture or something else) as a wall.
if someone could do this, i would be very very thankfull!
Thanks in advance

Hi brock, First of all, welcome to Studio forums! I'm not the person who can help you with this unfortunately, but I do can tell you that the mirror in The Sims 4 isn't a texture that can be placed on a wallpaper. What you can do untill someone made this object for you, is using an ingame mirror and using the cheat bb.moveobjects on for you to be able to hang paintings or lights over the mirror. To enter the cheat, first press Ctrl+Shift+C so the cheat bar will appear in the top left corner. Then enter the cheatcode and press Enter. Press Esc or Ctrl+Shift+C again to close the cheat bar. You can also use this code to place mirrors as close as possible next to each other.

Hi Bakie , first of all, thank you for welcoming me, i know i should say some kind of introduction or something and thank you for your help, i knew that cheat but while thinking of the mirrored room i kind of forgot it lol i thought that its not a real texture but some kind of setting that maybe can be done an a wall, i mean everything else can be mirrored, my floor is a complete mirror and at the moment the walls are full of mirrors but having a mirror wallpaper would be cool and i guess something unique as i guess that nobody else did that before last, but not least, (this is what should have been in the first post ) i want to thank the creators of S4S for this awesome tool which helped me a lot in the last few weeks, orangemittens and the other guys for the great tutorials they did and everybody else for making this forum a great place to look at cool stuff

Ah you're right, they snap to the wall even with the moveobjects on cheat.. Bummer..
I think someone just have to make a flat mirror instead of the thicker ones in game, so the moveobject on cheat CAN be used. As I'm not able to make meshes yet, I can't help you with that unfortunately. :(

I can look into making a thin flat wall-mirror. I haven't made any mirrors yet so that should be educational :-D

that looks perfect. Thank you so much! :D too bad that a mirror can not display something from another mirror... i will change the topic to "solved" but if anyone has another idea of doing the "real" mirror wall, your welcome to add it here

sadly its not, thats just a normal mirror but with another (eg grey) texture over the mirror so it looks darker than normally. and its not "seamless"... its cool as an aditional kind of mirror but not what ive looked at but what clown confetti did is working as i wanted it to work, well done :D

just one more thing, is it possible to change the settings so that i can place more than one without selecting it again. i hope you understand what i mean. if i place the mirror, i have to select it again to place another mirror but i would like it to stay selected on my mousecursor after placing one. i know that i could press the shift key but is there a way to change this too?

i just placed the mirror all around the room but than i faced another problem i forgot and thats called windows and doors. :( with this i cant make the area around a windows or door mirrored, thats something only a real wall can, i guess. So if there is anyone who knows how to do it (if its possible), please help. untill then i will use this mirror and live with the white aroudn the door and windows.

Off the top of my head I don't know, but I can look into it, I have a feeling I saw someone mention they changed this for an object in a download I browsed.... (if any of you S4S "gurus" are reading this, feel free to direct me :-P) As for the windows/doors thing I don't have any ideas other than making mirrors with cut-outs (which would be kind of cool as a regular design choice really haha!) but maybe someone else with more hacking experience will figure something out eventually!

Clown Confetti, I suppose you already figured it out, but you can check the "repeat placement" checkbox in the Object Catalog > PlacementFlagsLow section.
