I really like the male vest in Get To Work ( here), but it's over a regular v-neck t-shirt. I'd really like it combined with either a button-up shirt or a Henley. Ideally long-sleeved but rolled-up sleeves would be fine too. Can anybody do this? Alternately, could someone point me to a tutorial about combining CAS meshes like that or give me a sense of how difficult it would be?

hi! It's not the same vest.. but maybe you like this one by Rusty. Mixing meshes is called "Frankenmesh". Here's a tutorial how to do that. I can't really say what the complexity is, maybe intermediate. But i suggest you following the tutorial step after step, simultaneously to learn and see if it is difficult for you or not instead of only looking at the length or the pictures without actually trying it. It will teach you a lot of things and basic stuff that will help you with other projects. Also, here's the vest tops tag from sssvitlans if you'd like to see more vests.

Thank you for the reply! I actually do have that vest by Rusty already--I think it's great. I was just looking for another one to get a little variety. (I'm playing "wild west" themed Sims at the moment, and I have a lot of cowboys wearing the same handful of vests.) Thanks for the link to that tutorial. I think I'm going to try and go for it.

Thanks for the link! I have found a bunch of clothing (and other things!) on that blog. I'm very new to the world of cc and I've been super impressed by all of you content makers. And I recognize your username--I'm sure I have a ton of things made by you, but in particular, I'm a big fan of the covered wagon you made for budgie2budgie! (It's probably what made me really want to do a western Sims project.)
