My sister who happens to have a story lined sims character in my story, Antonia ( Amavanna's sis) she found this fishbowl / tank /bird bath/ plant thing and OMG would kill to see it in game . I don't know how hard the fish tanks are or if something like this is even remotely possible but I figure i would just toss this designer eye worm the creators way and see what happens :P  |

The tank is not hard to make in fact I have one that shape that I just havn't finished. The hard part is the beautiful details, I would kill to be able to make a really good replica of that. The fish would swim through the middle pole although some might not see this as a problem. The mesh I have is super modern but I will take a look and see if it can in any way resemble your picture  This is the mesh I have been fiddling with, I'll have a shot at making it more like the above. It'll take a couple of days I suspect  |

I thought I should mention sammoyke that the tank will be big, the fish have a pattern to the way they swim so the length of the tank has to match it or they swim through the side. I don't know if the swim code can be modified, this is not something I'm good at. I'll do what I can to get the above tank up and running and hopefully I will see ways to bring it much closer to the one you posted |

i dont know anything at all about meshing or creating objects on this level but ive got a couple super large tanks that only hold one fish, im assuming its cause they used the fish bowl instead of the fish tank to clone the object? if you used the fishbowl animation for it instead of the fish tank and only allowed for one fish, you could maybe make it smaller? eitherway im ok with it cause if you finish this its goin right in antonia's backyard and it will have plenty of room if its big. I just thought id mention that about the fish bowl thing.

Its good to know you don't mind a big tank I spent a long time watching the test tank yesterday seeing how the fish moved and where. The shape of the tank means the 6 fish will swim from left to right only. I can move the fish slots to make them fill the empty parts of the tank (back & front) but unless I get it spot on they will swim through the side. I'm going try anyway, hey if you don't try you don't know. I've not ever tried to change the fishbowl, I like having the tanks with lots of fish, (Batfish are lovely to watch) so I have not thought about the bowls a lot. MrS I have been thinking a lot about your tank while making this one, I did take a look at the package as you suggested a while back but its merged and I have no idea how to find the objects in it. I think I will take some time today or tomorrow to ask EA some questions about the tanks. I have a bunch of things that puzzle me about them. I just hope they don't throw numbers at me If all goes well (and I ignore the housework) it may be ready late tonight or tomorrow morning |
