Hi friends,
lets begin this post like Martin Luther King. “I have a dream!”
Not every dream can be fulfilled. Not every time there is a candle there to blow, and to have a wish for something. (Martins Dream did! As well without a candle. Would have been nice, if he could have seen it too!)
It´s not a “dream”, but it is a wish, for more reality. Lets talk about amputees.
Someone could think, that those wishes are perverted.
The mother of my son (we are divorced) has no (very short) arms.
The divorce doesn´t depend on her disability. There are enough other reasons…
…I don´t want to claim, that I am without guilt.
That means not more, but not less as well, that amputees or otherwise disabled people belong to my reality, as the average people do, too. I have many “friends” like that.
That means, that I want to have amputees or congenital amputees in the game “Sims 4”.
But how to manage?
Not , that there would be a lack of a mod (if it really would work after the newest update) being able to create an amputee Sim.
But I don´t want a Sim with e.g. invisible legs, floating around like a ghost. Or using a Protheses in a private situation.
Those Sims, I plan to create, should authentically move around. Use her toes to have a grip. With this low resolution, that should not be a severe problem. Or also use her mouth. Or rolling around.(to be continued by You)
There is an unwritten law, that this “base-skeleton” isn´t editable. But I don´t believe that.
One of the problems is, that I really cannot find, where this skeleton is to find in the program.
Surely there is one, but it is encoded. For this “normal” users not available.
I, as well don´t believe, that all of the meshes are really on the hard disc of my PC. Might be, that they are online contents. (Tell me another good news!)
Meanwhile I feel being able to handle progams like “Poser” “Carrara” or especially
“Z-Brush”. (To Blender I didn´t got accustomed so far)
How to animate those meshes, that cannot be a miracle work, as well. In comparison to Poser, the Sims meshes are really trivial. At “Poser” animation works not so bad for me.
My wish is:
I want to be leaded to the right resources. How I handle with them, I don´t know so far. But I am optimistic enough to learn deal with them and to bring them back as additionals ( not as substitutes!).
I don´t want to make a new “Sims” program . But to create a new category of sims, that cannot be unwished.
I imagine this method:
At creation of new Sims You can choose among male or female.
What´s about creating a third category “Amputated”? A new “Button” that cannot be miracle work, if You know, where to install it. If male or female, that doesn´t matter. (Could at every time made drove further on) But, might be, that first we should restrict to one gender. With this way, I think, midgets also could be realisable.
You perhaps could choose between “arm” “leg” “torso”. (Other suggestions are very welcome!) Or “shorten X” .
And You should be sure, that I give everything, that they move the right way. I agree to something/somehow like a slider mode. That will give more options. It´s not a miracle thing to animate them.
How I said: Not a replacement of the actual Sims, but a new, additional category.
But first I should find, disassemble and repost those meshes.
As well at the first this base skeleton.
My skills: little more than rudimentally able to programm in C++ (+visual)
No skills in Python (because it is DOS-based).
By profession (being master Dental Technician ) skilled in modelling 3D.
Animating: I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT::::JEAH!
But to pack such things into a package file…. Surely I need some advice…
