Hi! I'm creating my very first mesh for Sims 4, and already bumped into some problems. I made a decorative arch and used another object as a base. However, sims cannot walk or interact with objects under the arch. Basically I'd like sims to just ignore the existence of the object, since it's purely decorative. Do I need to edit the object footprint or change something in the mesh itself?

Export a rug footprint and import it into the arch. There are other ways but that's the easiest.

Thank you MisterS, that works! However, there's now a small texture blur if I place stairs or rugs so that they go under the object footprint. But this really doesn't bother me at this point of my noobishness, so I'll just focus on learning the basics first

If you upload the package we can have a look at it if you want
Another hint for that rug footprint trick
Click on Footprint/ObjectPolygons/edit items (in the warehouse)the first value you see is 00000005. Change it to 7, the mesh will still keep its non collision ability but the sims wont walk through it, comes in handy.

Thanks again for such good and easy tips! I think I don't need anyone to take a look at my mesh. This was just a learning experience. I think I'll create a whole new mesh anyway. But good to know where to get help and expertise when I need it again.
