Hellos, I've just started using Sims 4 Studio and wanted to edit the Get Together closets so that they would have a 3 tile wide footprint but am having trouble editing the footprint. I did look up closets and footprint editing in the forums, came across the "footprint" listing in the Warehouse tab but the closets don't seem to have any and the footprint option under Object Definition doesn't seem to do anything. (Total noob here if you haven't noticed.) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Spazi

In the warehouse click on footprint and edit object polygons This is the closet footprint size If you look at a 3 tile rug, its footprint size is this You need to change the three entries of the closet size to match the 3 tile footprint of the rug. The 0.96875 in the first pic (the closet) is the 2 tiles width, it needs to be changed to 1.42499995231628 to match the width of the rug (I think lol) Or halve the 0.96875 then multiply by 3 should give you the same(ish) result

Oh, I see what I was doing wrong! I had been creating a Recolor as opposed to a Mesh.
Thank you for the help MisterS!
EDIT: Well that sort of worked. The footprint is now 2x3 which is what I wanted EXCEPT.. the closet itself still places like a 2 wide one.

I'm trying to make it so that the regular closet will sit in the middle of 3 tiles, like how doors are sometimes edited to fit on two tiles.

I'm not expert or anything, but if you want to try something while your waiting, AND SAVE IT AS A NEW MESH AND PACKAGE open it up in blender w the new footprint and try to move it one way or the other + if the boning is still inside of it leave it but if not adjust accodringly so then just move it on the single axis to what you think is the middle and test like that I don't really know any other way as of yet thats not something ive worked on but i definitely know how to not line things up right :]
just something to try you seem anxious <3 i know the feel, remember make it a new package ad mesh in case it doesnt work out right then you have the original one still.
