Hello! So, I've been attempting my first sofa and have been having difficulty with my mesh. I'll let the pictures show you: This is what my mesh looks like BEFORE I load it into Studio But once I load it into Studio (and then into game) my front portion gets these strange dimples (I point a few of them out in the picture below): In game: So something about how studio interprets my mesh makes them get dimply, I am not sure how to fix this. I managed to fix the top layer shadow problem myself (hence the big X in the ig picture) but I am not sure how to address the dimply edge. Does anyone have any ideas? Have you tried removing doubles?

when those shadows appear on my meshes is due to some cleaning to the mesh. I mean, when I decimate it. I would correct it by adding some cuts (ctrl+R) to the faces, but I even can't add them, as the faces seem to be "broken". Have you triangulate your mesh? Sometimes it helps..

Side note - your mesh has 1451 poly's (faces) 512 of them are in the feet you will never see, just make cubes without a top on them so you have 5 poly's per foot which is 20 Also most of the internal edges need not be there, unless they are changing the shape of the mesh you can dissolve them. Like all the ones inside the main edges, most only has to be one big plane, not multiple little ones. Then try this. Select the seat part of the sofa and the front part (see pic) leaving the bit in between you don't want smooth (if you remove all those internal edges its easier to select) and press ctrl e and edge split.

j yea, I already tried that nikadema what do you mean by triangulate my mesh? Like do the triangles so the studio doesn't do it for me? @misters Yea most of the edge ones are supposed to give it a curve rather than a flat surface, but I will probably remove some of them (like I did for the top portion). I tried edge split and it did make a little better, but I still get the dimple :( I will try to make that front one single piece, that should probably help. *update* yea, I am going to make it a single unit and then add some more bevels; I think that should work

nikadema what do you mean by triangulate my mesh? Like do the triangles so the studio doesn't do it for me? I always triangulate the mesh and select the "beauty" option. Specially if I had to decimate it. If I have used decimate, then I triangulate that part of the mesh before I make the map. Maybe that's me, but I have the feeling that the texture looks better

Where is the beauty option? What section is it under?

On modifiers, look for triangulate select that, and the hit beauty. then, hit apply
