I need more info. Is this a large object like a dishwasher or a small one like clutter?

Ive tried with an oven once, I cannot remember exactly but I think it was the Prototype ID in Object catalog I changed (made the stove the same as the dishwasher) However, although it did work in going under the counter, they wouldn't open the oven. I removed the counter footprint but when they did open it then, the counter was still visible behind it. I didn't try anymore so someone may have a better answer.
Issue in your case would also be the door animation, ie where the sims open it, you cannot change that unless you override every fridge animation.

I think you're right MisterS. Wouldn't EA have to come out with small fridges first?

I think you're right MisterS. Wouldn't EA have to come out with small fridges first? Either that or for us to get the ability to custom make animations for a particular objects, sort of like how we can move the feet and bum slots on individual chairs.

Technically speaking I think this could be done. You would need to make the mesh, give it fridge functionality, rig it up so that the door opened how you wanted, create your own new animation for it and then provide your own unique tuning for it that made it play your animation when the Sim used it. Studio is able to all of those things although there would be many steps and resources you needed to work with.

iam really okay with the animation as i thought of using one of ea already existed ones and just resize it but the problem i had was that i replaced the rig and the slot of the dishwasher with the fridge ones but when i tried to import the fridge mesh it told me that the vertex group included with mesh isnt in the current package (dishwasher) i have no idea why iam getting that since i did transfer both slot and rig to the package

Lemoman, are you cloning a dishwasher to begin with?

Lemoman, are you cloning a dishwasher to begin with? yup that was the only way to put the fridge under the counters but its not a good way

And and all the cut numbers are correct?

You are getting that error because your mesh has references to bones that you've switched out for other bones when you switched out the rig and slot. I think it might be easier cloning a fridge and giving it the under the counter behavior a dishwasher has. The SlotTypeSet field should have the same slot type set number as a dishwasher: I haven't done much but verify that this will cause the fridge to be contained inside the counter as a dishwasher is but if you work with it this might serve your purposes.

I think maybe he could copy the info from the slot section on the left hand side from dishwasher to the new fridge.
