Need help figuring out what I am doing wrong with this tut

Hi, so this is my first time ever creating custom content. I started with recoloring a few of the base game shirts and what not and when I got that down, without a video, I decided to step it up and try turning a base game tank top into a long sleeve crop top. I end up with no shirt and problems in the middle of Gaming Mermaids tutorial and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I am using Photoshop CS6 and S4S Sugar, Gaming Mermaid is using Photoshop CS2.

At 3:30 she is using white and filling in where sleeves will be and this is how it looks:
