I have two problems with height; they might be related but probably not. First, I have a hanging lamp I made and cloned from the grandfather clock (its been seen before in these forums... but I decided to clone it from a clock instead of a light since I wanted glass). It works fine as a light, but the problem is I made it where hanging lights would normally be in blender (in the negative z space). However, when i load it into game instead of resting on the ceiling, it wants to rest on the floor (like if floor is 0, it is hanging at 0 and then down) How do I get the game to hang it from the ceiling and not the floor? Second, I made a plant from a window box. But it doesn't slide at all (like its predecessor); I checked and it is clicked to "act like a picture" etc. It just sits down on the floor. Any advice on where to start? Thank you in advance!

Export your Light Mesh from S4S and the Texture File Open in Blender - Re Export as an OBJ.FILE
Find a Lamp to Clone from in S4S Import YOUR CUSTOM LAMP TEXTURE and click save - Then Export the Mesh from that Clone Lamp
Open your Clone Lamp Mesh in Blender Import your OBJ.File Delete the Clone Lamp and Your Custom Mesh is now that Cloned Lamp, (Rename plus add the cut).
Save as The Cloned Lamp Blender File, (Overwrite.)
Reimport to your S4S Cloned Lamp File. Done Deal.
(Same Procedure for the Plant Object.)

My lamp has a glass mesh and a solid mesh; do you know any lamp meshes that have two? Wouldn't that matter? *edit* I followed your instructions for the plant and now it says "inefficient wall height for placement" It wont let me place it at all, even with bb.moveobjects onI picked a different plant to clone it from and it worked. But I still have the lamp question above.

But I still have the lamp question above. I would look for a Base Game Lamp that hangs from the Cieling, unless you want to go for one with a Specific EP, (Which would limit the DL's for CC Seekers.). The Addition of Glass, i would presume, to be no biggie - As long as you have it Mapped for the Alpha. The main thing is to Import that Custom Map into The S4S Clone and then Export the Mesh, like i mentioned above.

This is an updated Vid - and I'm not good @ vids. But, it deals with the Custom Map and mixing meshes. You could snag some Glass and custom map it to your Lamp, in theory. Maybe a bit of Tuning but i don't think that would be needed.

j - I don't have permission to see the thread that you linked :( @stevenssimsstuff - I'll try what you suggested; I was thinking that it might just be easier to clone it from a lamp and then set part of it to see-through with the alpha mask

Hi eronoel, the thread J linked was moved to the outdated, culled Creator Help thread section in error...it has now been returned to the Creator Help section where you can access it.

Ah I'm sorry, I remembered having the same question that was addressed a while ago, so I went digging in my created threads for omorfi's solution. Didn't realize the thread has been archived. Glad you got it working in the end.
