Hi lolidoli, welcome to Studio forums. This tutorial will show you how to take an existing mapped mesh and use it to replace an EA accessory. This tutorial will show you how to change the joint the accessory is assigned to in case you would rather have it be attached to something other than the finger joint the ring is assigned to. This is a list of all the Sims 4 joints available to choose from when selecting a joint to assign your accessory to. Once you start your project if you run into more questions feel welcome to post in a tutorial thread or in this one you've started already.

Hi lolidoli, you need to move the bag's map to the area EA has alloted for ring maps.

Hi lolidoli, I understand what you're saying. The problem is that you have not edited the image to match your new item and its map. After cloning the ring export the texture: Open the image in your 2D editor. It will look something like this: You need your bag's texture to fit in the same space that EA has the ring texture placed. This area is outlined with a blue box in the picture above. Save the image and import that back into Studio. After exporting the EA mesh, bring your mesh into Blender with it. Give your mesh the same cut number that the EA mesh has and then select your mesh and go into Edit mode. Move your bag's map into the space where EA's ring texture is: Save your .blend and import it back into the .package. Once you have your mesh mapped to the same place as EA's mesh is mapped and your texture occupying the same place as their texture occupies then you will see the correct texture showing up on your bag in Studio.

I followed all of the steps and the texture is successfuly on the bag but because of ring's texture is too small the quality is very very low. Is there a way to fix it or i missed something? PS. Thank you very , very much for your help , i learned many things i can apply now to other projects! :-* :-* :-*

Hi lolidoli, the result you're getting is, unfortunately, a limit that is built into Sims 4. While a ring is sort of a natural choice for an item the Sims will hold in their hand the space on the composite map allotted to rings is very small. Brujah posted a template showing what sections of the composite map correspond to what CAS item and that is HERE. There are items that are allotted more space on the map than rings that you could consider as your base clone instead. Although none of them get the amount of space we would hope to have on a new item some of them do get significantly more space than rings do.

Hello i need your help again ! It seems everything i do is wrong ah :( .I succesefuly made what i wanted but there is the shadow of the ring and i would like to remove it . The problem is the texture file of the new bag is different than the ring so the RLE and RLES images are of the ring and i dont know how to import new/delete them . I just want to get rid of this shadow

Hi lolidoli, Untraditionalnerd wrote a tutorial showing how to edit the shadow image (RLE2) and that is HERE. He also wrote a tutorial showing how to edit the specular image (RLES) and that is HERE.
