Hi again!! well, here's the thing: I saw a hair mesh tutorial and managed to solve my problem mesh for hair #1. then I did another mesh this time following all the steps of said tutorial and it was all better than good actually. I imported the mesh and it was working!! But then I saw I had to edit parts of the hair so I went back to Blender and started from scratch and when I'm finally done and all I have to do is change the GEOM value, I can't. I select the first layer and change it to 0000 and then I change the second one to 0001 and the third one to 0002 as the tutorial taught me BUT when I go back to check if all numbers are correct I realize that each time I modified the number on one layer the other two would automatically assume that same value so I'm kinda stuck. Why does this happen? is it common? how do I solve it??

Sure, here. I just don't know what good will it do if you manage to put the numbers down yourself when I'm not able to do it here anyway. you'd think i'm missing a step but I managed to do it two times before without it being an issue.

Hi Deaatrin, I think your issue is that you probably did a Duplicate Link which caused your groups to be linked. Each time you change the info on one group, it will auto change on the other. I went ahead and did a regular duplication of groups 2 and 3 and that allowed me to change their cut numbers. Blend File Here{View Image}

ohhh yes I did use the Link thing to duplicate each mesh... obviously I had no idea that it'd cause such trouble. thank you so much!!
