I never figured myself to be a bird watcher, but with technology today, we get an inside view into something most of us have never seen. I find it relaxing. For a few weeks, I have checked in to this cam on a great horned owls nest, some people have been watching since she laid the eggs. I'ts amazing to see how she cares for them and what kind of prey she brings back and how she feeds the babies. The owls are just amazing and beautiful! There's also a bald eagle with her mate taking turns laying on their nest, so check it out! Sensitivity alert: The cam is live and does not get turned off until the babies are fledged so a person might see the mother or father bring back prey, amoung other types of natural aggression. jkaliszew and MathcopeIf you like those cams, you will probably also love the bird cams we have in The Netherlands. Each year the "protection of birds association" (Freely translated :p ) let people enjoy the breeding season of a lot of different birds. This year there are 12 different kind of birds that will be followed: Bird camsThese also are live cams and on the right there are short videos of "special" things that happened. Like bringing in prey and such or other kind of animals that visited the nests. Some of the cams aren't online yet as those birds are still traveling to here from the south, but will probably be up soon. If you want me to translate things for those videos, just ask.

Thank you, bakie, that's a great variety of bird life and very cool to view another part of the world! And, thank you for the offer to translate.
Mathcope, I'm glad your enjoying them, really is amazing to see their different interactions. During the bald eagle cam I witnessed the "changing of the guard" where the female was calling out to her mate to come and relieve her, he squawked back and came to lay on the nest for about an hour before he tired of it and started calling out to her, they went back and forth for a time almost like an argument! lol
