Hello! I love this wonderful program! But very often I come across such a problem: the game looks weird mesh (dark areas where there should not be). This is reflected in the object icon I think this is due to the normals in blender. That I do not know how to solve.

Hi Aquamarine-DreaM, if you post your .package and your .blend someone can take a look.

First I would check the specular and normal maps, to fix the actual mesh I usually remove doubles, apply flat shading to the object and split edges if needed.

I made a simple mesh (no shelves) to check. The result is the same. The file is located here. Before you do a scan of the mesh texture (I have it takes a long time, so I do not want to spend it in an empty), I use the program "kHED" to check the mesh.I export the file .blender to .obj format. That's actually my closet mesh looks like ( in TS4 looks similar). It looks strange. Then I use the function of auto smoothing 45. So it should look normal mesh. How to fix it in a Blender, I do not know. I really like s4s for simplicity and ease of use, but this problem with the meshes I often use other programs for creating of cc :'(

After you use the smooth shading in blender some faces may look odd, what i personally do is go to modifiers, the wrench icon and apply the edge split modifier, then you can play with the numbers until it looks fine. Don't forget to click apply!

You can edit the title yourself and just put "{SOLVED}" so anyone with a similar problem may look here to find out.

Don't forget to click apply! Thank you! I had a similar issue, when using flat shading the object shade was still looking weird in game This solved the issue :D
