Hey guys, I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, so if not, my bad.
I can't download sims4studio because I have a mac. And I need help with something!
I have mods for un-blocked accurate nudity. However, I just downloaded Get Together, and they have a nudity option. But whenever my sims take a bath or anything, they get in with clothes on. I hear this is a glitch from the mods.
I read on a forum a way to fix this, using sims4studio. Can anyone do that for me? Here is the post:
I think I have a fair idea of what's happening in cases like these, but there are a couple steps to resolving it, if you want to give it a try. It requires using the Sims4Studio to fix any offending CC and a small script mod that allows you to reset your Sim's bathing (nude) outfit. (That's the method I know of for fixing it, anyway -- there may be other means.)
As always, to be safe, it's best to back up your files before doing any of this. In this case, backing up your Mods and Saves folders will insure that you have copies to revert to, just in case anything goes wrong. Please be careful and use these directions at your own risk! There shouldn't be any problems, but I'm not responsible for any issues that may arise from attempting this procedure.
Sims4Studio can be downloaded from sims4studio.com -- you'll need to register at their forum site, but it's free and really a great place if you're into modding (or just interested in learning more about it). They're friendly folks over there and are very helpful solving issues with mods/CC.
(Note: As an alternative to fixing your CC with Sims4Studio, you can just locate and remove any mis-tagged CC from your game, but this is the way to do it and keep the CC available in your game, once fixed. Even if you remove the bad CC though, you'll still need to use the mod in the second step to repair the bathing outfit.)
The mod is called "Reset Bathing Outfit" and is found at Mod The Sims (MTS) at www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=568792.
This post is already a really big one, so I'm not going to try to describe how to install/set up these tools. Please refer to the instructions at the sites I've linked for downloading them. The setup is pretty straightforward for both.
First you'll need to run Sims4Studio (TS4 should be shut down and not running for this). If it's the first time you've run it, it will take a few moments to read the TS4 files, and you may need to tell it where your TS4 directory is. Once that's set, you'll see a "Tools" menu up top. Click that and go down to "Batch fixes" -> "CAS" -> "Disallow CC for shower" -- you may need to browse to the correct location for your CC/mods if it's not already filled in correctly, then run the fix. (There's also an entry for a directory to save a backup to -- it backs up any CC that it fixes, just in case something goes wrong so you can restore it.)
Once that's done, it will say how many CC packages it found and fixed. That will fix the CC so it doesn't cause this issue anymore, BUT . . . any Sims who are already glitched will remain glitched. This is because the game only generates the bathing/nude outfit once, the first time it needs it. At that point in time, if you have any mis-tagged CC, it gets stamped onto the bathing outfit. Fixing the tags prevents that from happening, but it doesn't change the already-existing bathing outfits, so they still reference the CC clothing.
The above also explains why you can remove the bad CC and your Sims bathing/nude outfits will start showing some base EA clothing -- usually the generic underwear. Again, the mis-tagged CC is gone, but the bathing/nude outfit is still pointing to it. When you remove any kind of clothing CC, the game will replace any instances of it with EA generic clothing -- thus the generic underwear.
So to complete the repair, we need to use the "Reset Bathing Outfit" mod. After installing the mod, run TS4 and load your game as normal. (Remember, it's a script mod, so you need to have Script Mods enabled in your game options.) Load up the household with the glitched Sim and make them your active Sim. Then open the cheat console (CTRL-Shift-C) and type "reset_bathing_outfit current" (without the quotes) -- that will delete the current bathing outfit and cause the game to regenerate it. Now that you've fixed all your CC, the bathing outfit should generate properly without any clothing. (If you were to simply do this step without first fixing or removing the mis-tagged CC, it would just generate a glitched bathing outfit again -- neither step will solve the problem alone.)
The "Reset Bathing Outfit" mod does also have options for batch-fixing all Sims in your game, or for fixing a specific Sim by <firstname lastname> too -- please see the instructions at the MTS site where I directed you for the download to understand all your options. If you have glitched unplayed/townies, you may need to use those. I've only used the 'current' option myself thus far, and it's worked perfectly for fixing my Sims here.
That should do the trick. Once your CC and Sims are all fixed, you can remove the "Reset Bathing Outfits" mod from your game, if you like. (Though it should be fine to leave it in place for possible future use too, just keep in mind it may become outdated at some point by future patches.) I know
this has been a long post, but I wanted give a reasonable explanation of how to use these tools. Hopefully it's helpful!
