I want to makes some poses for pose player so i followed the tutorials here on creating poses, they're great, and it was all going fine but right away there is a problem. I export the blend file from S4S (2.6.1 Sugar) and make a WIP version 1 of the pose in Blender, but when i tried to save, it fails and says "No new files have been packed". I google and find a workaround that is, rather than simply using 'save', use "save as" and create a new file every time, which works for a bit. Now that is not even working. I make all the edits i want in Blender and "save as a blender file" which seems to output the new file just fine, but if i open that file again any changes i've made are not saved.
It seems that the issue appears at least partially (i think "No new files have been packed" happened from the get go) after i import the blend file to S4S. Whether i open the same blend file after importing it or export the clip as a blend file once again doesn't change anything. After that point any changes simply cannot be saved in the file.
Pretty confusing. Not sure what i'm missing. Help?

Ignore the "No new files have been packed", it has saved them, its just a blender thing, it always says that dunno why.

Hi greatsima, MisterS, from what I can tell, Blender reports it as a verbose message when it's not applicable, i.e. if you create a complex blender project with more than just .blend file it can "pack" those other files for you. Like MisterS said, you can ignore the messages. Your second paragraph seems to indicate that you make changes that aren't saved. If you move back in forth in the timeline (to different frames) after making the changes you want, do the changes you made to each frame continue to be there? If not, perhaps you aren't inserting your changes as a keyframe, and your changes may be lost in that case before you even save them to disk. I posted a brief message about keyframes here: sims4studio.com/post/39790/threadIf you still have trouble with losing changes, perhaps you can post screen shots here of "before" and "after" you make a change or two to your .blend file.
