Question about recolouring windows.

Hi again =) Is it normal that a Selective Clone recoloured custom window doesn't also include the wall mask (my technical term : the wall cutty thing).  As in is it always just a sensible idea to make a recolour that needs the mesh anyway?  Does that make sense? heh..thanks!
