Hello,
I admire Sims Custom Content creators so very much! It amazes me that even many teenagers these days have mastered the skills necessary to manifest such extraordinary creations! I'm old, lol, and I'm very left-brained, so I don't think I have what it takes to create custom content, but I enthusiastically thank all of you who do!
On that note, I'm wondering if any of you awesome creators out there have considered making mods for live-in nannies & butlers? I really didn't like the babysitter situation in Sims 3. Sitters were always coming and going, abruptly needing to leave the premises to fulfill other obligations, etc. It would be so nice to have live-in nannies who automatically assume responsibility for the children when both parents are absent, and who perform cleaning tasks related to the children such as picking up toys (and disposing of dirty diapers - if EA ever, ever, ever gives us toddlers, that is! (Where oh where are our toddlers, EA!?)
Likewise it would be nice to have live-in butlers who perform cooking and cleaning tasks combined, rather than us Simmers having to hire caterers and maids individually. I really do love the Sims 4 team's caterer addition to the game, but it would be even better to have butlers who, for example, automatically monitor the amount of how much pre-prepared *perfect* food remains in the refrigerator, thus knowing exactly when to start preparing more, and also when to clean out spoiled food, possibly even in advance of it spoiling.
Either that, or caterers themselves would have the capacity to monitor (from afar) when a family needs the caterer to return to the household to make more food.
I guess a Simmer could have the option as to whether their butler would serve as a food preparer or not. My Sims are generally not interested in cooking or baking, so I love having all of their food catered. Butlers could also perform such tasks as ironing clothes, doing laundry, and dusting, when EA makes these activities possible.
I've mentioned these ideas on at least one other forum, but I unfortunately lost track of my post. This time I promise to read and reply to any comments or questions addressed to me here. Please, please, please consider making this nanny/butler mod! I will be so eternally grateful! At this point I would actually pay money to have it made!
