HI! I created a transparent shirt to go over a bra and undies set. When I try to make it transparent in GIMP, it takes on the color of the skin. The shirt is not a skin-tight shirt. I edited the UV map in Blender to move the shirt off the body and into an unused field (lower-right corner). I found out how to make the clothing piece transparent in S4Studio by using SimGlass or SimGhost, but SimGlass is not transparent enough and SimGhost is too transparent. Is there a middle ground or possibly a way to change the amount of transparency in these shaders?
Thanks in advance for your help! Zahkriisos

I don't think that you need to change the shader for something that is skin tight like the item you're doing. To control the opacity of the transparency you have to edit the Alpha channel. I don't use GIMP but i'm pretty sure it hast it. White being complete opaque, black completely transparent. Just play with all the shades of gray in between.

No, I said that the item is NOT skin-tight, it is loose fitting.

oh i'm sorry. still the alpha applies. You have to edit it in order to change the opacity of the glass.

Thanks. I've been trying to edit the alpha layer and I guess that is something beyond what I know about GIMP and I do not know how to use any other 2d editors. Does anybody know how to edit the Alpha Channel in GIMP, or at least send me to a tutorial, preferably video.
EDIT: Never mind. I figured it out. Thanks for your help, inabadromance!!
