Ok so I made this chair with a desk attached to it. I took one of the outdoor picnic table as my clone and removed all slots and seats except one from the rig and I changed the footprint to be linked to a desk chair. I can see the footprint and chair as long as i'm holding it but once i let it go at the place i want it it disappears. I have even tried it with the desk chair as the clone and same thing happens. Here is the package link

I have the issue myself with a object I had made a few months ago all of a sudden start doing the same thing, from what I can tell its an issue with two different types of footprints. The chair footprint has template key numbers, and when you click on the object polygons it is empty. Where the picnic table has all zeros in the template key, and clicking on object polygons brings up the footprint info. When you changed the footprint did you use the batch import/export option because I think I fixed mine that way but cannot really remember

All I did was the way a tutorial said to link footprints. The thing is it disappears even if I use the desk chair as clone and not change footprint.

Hey @countrykris , When an object won't place it often will write an error to the lastException.txt in the sims 4 docs folder and in this case it had a pretty specific one: -<report>

</report>
It seems to be upset about having its subroot slots removed. I got it to place by customizing its object tuning and removing the _part_data elements that had a subroot defined and greater than 0: I didn't do any extensive testing in game to see if that was the only issue, but I did get it to place without disappearing

Ok so that worked for the placing without disappearing. But even though there is a slot for eat and drink, if i have my sim go to sit down with food she sits but drops the food under the chair. Now if i drag the food to the slot and direct to eat she eats while still siting. For child if I try to have him use the desk to do homework he sits and then place the book down on desk but then immediately pick it back up and stands up. Updated PackagHere are some pics:
