Hi, I am fairly new to this and have gone about editing an exisiting package "AF_HairViviNefertari". I modified the existing hair colours, added 2 more swatches and created a thumbnail. When I go into sims 4 the pre-existing swatches all render fine on the sim model, however when I click on my new swatches the sim models hair does not change. I have gone into the Warehouse and compared the CAS Part Data of the new and pre-exisitng swatches and apart from the Instance they point at, they all appear identical and look fine. The only thing I could think of was that I had also created a custom thumbnail for one of my added swatches which wasn't appearing in Sims 4 so I deleted that thinking that was the issue but nothing has changed. There was 15 and is now 17 thumbnails and I have double checked the texture files and can confirm they are same as the ones which are rendering fine. Am I missing something? Package can be found here. ~3mb

Hi dcassar, it looks like the hair was made during the time of the GTW patch came out. That patch caused CC CAS items that were numbered a certain way to be wrongly categorized and have the wrong thumbnail so Studio changed the numbering to avoid this. Since then EA has fixed this and asked us to continue using the previous way of numbering CAS items. It seems that there is an incompatibility if some swatches are numbered one way and others numbered another way. I will add it to the list to make Studio handle this situation better, but for now you can clone the hair with all swatches rather than opening it in My Projects, or if you want you can fix the swatches in the warehouse by making the first number less than 8 like so:

Thanks! I spent so long trying to work out what the issue might be!
I wasn't sure what you ment by clone the hair with all swatches ... duplicate the old swatches? mind you changing the instance hex value was easy enough.
Although cloneing would probably be better just incase I played with the swatches later down the track.
Thanks again! or as the sims would say... Manuzi Kenaad!
