I am sure someone at some point has tried to figure out how to change the color of the ceilings in TS4. I would love to see someone make a mod that gives a nice dark (black/brown) for darker rooms, or the ability to make a wide variety of colors to choose from (RGBIV).
But here is to hoping this thread finds someone that has not thought about it, willing to take on the task of figuring it out.
Cause, everyone knows there is nothing worse then having the most amazing dark themed room and going to take a screenshot to have it ruined by a horrendously white ceiling.

At this time there is no way to recoup the ceiling. We have to wait till EA does it.

Ive made "false" ceilings (basically a flat plane you can place over and over) but cannot get them to disappear when the walls are down. I made one lower than the normal ceiling with custom beams and lights, looked awesome in close walking around, but when you zoom out you cannot see where your sims are. The only way I could get objects to disappear when the walls were down was to make them a wall object like a painting or light.

SrslySims I've seen a moveable ceiling/floor patch by artrui here. This is what it looks like: I haven't tried it out myself though.
