Hello! I'm fairly new at modding even though I'm not exactly a beginner, and I'm attempting to create my first from-scratch outfit. Mostly it's going well, but I'm at a point where I'm trying random things to troubleshoot and I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction for what needs to be addressed.
(also I'm in the middle of sorting out broken mods so some things are missing from my sim like its pupils, apologies for the absolutely psychotic looking screenshots)

is doing well except for some weird shadows on the lightning bolts that I *think* I can sort out, I'm guessing they have to do with the normal map or the uv's need to be smoothed somehow. If you recognize the strange lighting and can point me in the direction of a thread or tutorial that might help there I'd be much obliged.
is where I'm having the biggest issues. I think this error has to do with weights but I'm struggling to figure out where I've gone wrong. I've tried cloning different base objects (and subsequently creating and correctly numbering the geom cuts based on my clone) with various incorrect results. this is the closest I've come to with the full mesh present and no gaps in placement between the cuts, but it seems to be linked incorrectly to the rig and I'm not sure where/how it needs to be tweaked. I follow the directions of any tutorial on weight transfer (ensuring nearest face interpolated is on and sort by name is checked) but I feel like I'm missing something when it comes to connecting the mesh to the bones and how to paint it right for movement.
I'd REALLY appreciate some insight on this and if you know of any good tutorials or speed-meshing videos that might help please link them.
I'm also having a minor problem with some glove cc that I cloned from someone else's cc(of a separated in-game item). It works perfectly in game and my new texture shows up fine, but it also puts a slightly translucent red question mark texture over the rest of the sim. Any idea what might be causing that? Texture not linked correctly to the base rig or something?
I've attached a zip with my package and blender files for the hood, cloak, and gloves. I'm using s4s 3.2.2.2 (star) and Blender 2.79
Thank you for your time!
