Okay, so every single tutorial I find says to use DDS files for the normal map. I export the map with the DDS option in GIMP, but when I go to import the file into S4S, it doesn't show up in the folder. I tried uploading it through warehouse, and it still didn't work. Is it necessary to use a DDS file? Or is the problem that GIMPs default dds export file option doesn't work for some reason and I need a plugin?
Lemme know if I need to add any files.

This video shows how to create a mask. You may need to apply it before saving.
