Can the bookmarks menu take us to last post in thread?

Hi orangemittens, when I get a Bookmark notification I noticed it doesn't open the last post in the thread even if I have read all the previous posts.
Is there a setting I overlooked? It works great for tags in posts, as the tagged post is what opens.
