I saw this really cool mod that changed the icons on the phone , but i was wondering if I wanted to make my own Icons how does one go about it ? Its probably beyond me but right now my brain cant even wrap around how they made this mod in the first place. Is it simply knowing where the icon image is and replacing it? or did they do like loads of python stuff? If its just for me is there a way to just go into the game files and change stuff? (although as soon as there is a game update it would probably kill any changes huh?)

Hello! You just want to change the icons? If so, it's not difficult, actually. There's this mod for example, it's very nice. Run Sims 4 Studio. Then at the top bar go to Tools > Create Empty package. Give it a name. I opened QMBiBi's package with Sims4Studio for you to see it:  The important thing is the Instance of each image. Copy the instance of an image. In your empty package, go again to Tools > Game File Cruiser. 1- Mark DST Image. 2- Paste the Image instance. 3- Filter. 4- The image will show up. Select it. 5- Add to current package.  Do it for all these image instances so you have all icons added to your package. Now all you have to do is create your own icons and replace the images. Like this: 1- Select the image you want to replace. Click import. Then just import your new icon.  Remember to keep the image size 128X128. And yes, be careful with the game updates. Sometimes they mess up icon replacements. That's pretty much it. Good luck  |

The mod in question is Road To Wealth by xosdr. www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/road-to-wealthWhen I open up the package file in Sims4Studio, I do not show any images with any of the Instance ID's. |

Icons are in the package called Strings. Choose the one you want and import yours instead. Its dimensions have to be a power of 2 ( so 128x128 instead of 120x120 ) and saved either in png or in dds without mipmps |
