Hey Everyone I thought since GIMP is a program we use often for CC making, that some tutorials on it would be nice. Please feel free to link any pictures/videos/tutorials you find to do with GIMP in this thread. These tutorials are from the GIMP website. HERE

I will give you some GIMP advice - don't mess with the .DDS plug-in, it's non-stable. If you need a .DDS file format - Take what whatever you made in GIMP and toss it into Paint.net to convert to .DDS, it will save you a big hassle.
2 Progs - some of you are scratching your heads - why 2?
The .DDS plug-in for GIMP can alter the program to where you can no longer drag and drop from Desktop, or your Folder right into the screen. Paint.net will allow the same - just drag and drop, saves a little time.
There where a lot of issues with the .DDS plug-in from GIMP to begin with, last year. (Sometimes, it would work - Sometimes, WTH is this?).
Rock on!

Why do you need to drag and drop. I just use the open image from file drop down. Never had a problem. I use only Gimp for all my textures.

You don't need to Drag and Drop, I mentioned that it saves TIME. Feel free to Click and Open and Scroll and import - to each their own. Ha! Rock On! °The first few versions of S4S - before you could use .PNG and it was all .DDS - There were a lot of crazy things going on with the GIMP .DDS plug-in and to my knowledge - the Plug-in has not been updated. If it's working for you, Kudos!
