Can anyone convert this hairstyle for me from adult male to child. I've tried on my own but it's proved beyond my meshing skill level I would be extremely grateful for the help. I feel this hairstyle would be great on a kid, male and female alike. The only help I need is with converting the mesh however, I can do the textures myself. I really would like to use this on one of my staple sim-kids since he's supposed to have a curly little mop-top.

Hi! I might be able to pull this off for you I'm not a pro, though. I decided to see if I could even get it right at all, as far as fitting it on the kids' head. This is what I've got so far. I won't continue on it until you can confirm it's the right thing :P Is this along the lines of what you're asking for? Heh, note that it is not completely onto his head yet I hope this is right ^^;

plovernod Oh yes indeed this is what I want. It looks great so far. When I tried I the mesh contained the back of the neck and the area around the ears of an adult and I just could not figure out how to make it fit the child's head neatly. Thanks for your prompt response. I look forward to seeing the finished results.

I apologize for not updating in a few days .. Having an issue where in-game (ingame ONLY), the original mesh that I replaced shows up but with the new textures. I tried to fix it but to no avail. orangemittens could you possibly help? I'm fine at meshes as far as like vertices and stuff.. but this is so frustrating! edit: here's the picture, it's shiny cause I was messing around with the rles and stuff so that's not a problem

I got it to work! Except........... Yeah. Major neck issue there, which I always have on my converted hair(s.) The back of the hair, attached to part of the original neck, is much larger than the child's. Any tips to help fix that? The hair looks just fine in-game. Pictures, if I can figure it out - Can you tell it's 1:00 AM? Anyways, here's the package file so far: Package File
And the .blend file: Blender FileNow, I'm going to go sleep, before I fall asleep on top of my laptop.

1drv.ms/1StFDEFHere it is, orangemittenskat-simss I decided to open yours up in blender and see what's up.. When I tried to convert mine, the neck etc was all there and I just deleted it.. But yours won't delete it like mine did.. Weird. Definitely gonna have to get OM on this.

Hmmmm....... I'll see if I can do anything. Time to procrastinate on the boatload of homework I have by messing around in Blender!
Nope... I can't seem to delete it. Jellogalaxy, maybe you could put a download link for the .blend file up, I might be able to fix the strange mesh/texture issue.

I'm no good at anything like shadows, all I can do is the mesh itself :p Hopefully you know how to fix it

Alright...... how exactly did you convert it? For me, it looks fine until you zoom out in-game, and there is also a random part of hair, the neck part that you deleted, I believe, shows up in S4S, but not in-game, or in Blender. Weird. It also doesn't help that it's late, and school is about to pounce on me tomorrow. I'll see if I can do much tonight.
EDIT: Interesting/strange find. If you set the LOD to 3 in S4S, the hair appears over the head, just hovering there. Huh.
