It looks like it's made of... tar ;P Reminds me of the tar patches that go onto a roof of a shed in the countryside. And a bucket of tar. And tiny, little tar spills that turn into these black shiny tar balls. OK, what the hell am I rambling on about?
I think It'd be nice with some extra blanket on top, to hide the rectangular mattress that appears to be sinking. ;P

Paika the black top bed has a sparkly texture but it works much better on the headboard than the base, reducing the pattern doesn't really help but I'm working on it. The bedding is the bane of my life, I have tried for 2 months now to make round bedding but I'm not happy with any attempt and haven't dare try them in the game. I totally agree that it needs bedding that is round and with the duvet draping over the edge. Thanks Orangemittens and Bubblegumbliss, I've done lots of conversions and a few meshes but this one is a personal thing. I am in need of a whinge so am off to the creator forum

freeasabird I'm not talking about modifying the mattress mesh, just adding an extra blanket that creates the illusion that everything is where it should be. An item that essentially just sits right above the original mesh.

Well I did download a bed with a blanket today that I thought would be perfect. I'm not sure how to make it so the sims could sleep in it with the blanket on the bed. I've pulled my hair out with pillows cloned from rugs and how I did those in the pics I have no idea. But yes I will give it another try as I have to learn.

Rugs are weird. If you clone from them the objects don't look quite right in the game. I think removing the footprint makes objects easier to place on top of others? Of course it's still better not to have intersecting geometry. I think it makes objects darker, or at least it happened to one of my painting meshes. Somehow I made its shadow intersect with the canvas...
