Hello, today I wanted to fix all my CAS CC items but I came across something that I couldn't find out how to fix. Some of my CAS CC have thumbnails like this: There's this weird gridded shadow. However they look fine otherwise.
I tried deleting the thumbnails of the affected mods and clearing the thumbnail cache but nothing changed. What else could it be? Thanks in advance.

Could it be that the spec/normal map on the bottoms is showing through the texture? Seems odd its doing it on just the thumbnail though.

Sorry I'm total pants at making clothes, but that does look like a spec or bump map thingy.

It looks like a specular issue, the thumbnail gets autogenerated when loaded in CAS. Deleting it after deleting all maps besides diffuse and loading CAS after should solve the issue.

Berg is right about the autogenerate. If the CC is fixed in game then in studio, you would need to delete the thumbnail and save and then load the CC into the game to let it autogenerate a new thumbnail. Or take a sample screenshot and use that as the thumbnail. CC that doesn't have a thumbnail added in studio will by default load in a sample from the first time you look at the swatch. So it's still got the sample of the broken CC as a thumbnail. It's just a matter of removing the old thumbnails and letting the game repopulate it or populate it with your own design.
