Anyone else having issues with Studio CAS Batch fixes? I've noticed that if I run any of the Batch fixes it actually causes more issues with my CC than I had before. I end up having to go through and reinstall the original packages, thankfully I always have back ups.

I've never had any problem myself, or seen anyone else have a problem, with the results of a batchfix that wasn't caused by user error. (And I have had problems myself that were caused by user error.) Describe the result you wanted, the fix or fixes you used, and the result you got, and someone can probably tell you why you didn't get the result you wanted and how to get it. (Also, while making your own backups is never a bad plan, S4S also makes backups during the batch fixing process itself.)

I ran all of the CAS Batch fixes and afterwards some of my CC would have a red X over the thumbnail in CAS or they just didn't show up at all in CAS. Once I restored the original copy of the packages, things would be working fine again. But each time I ran a Batch Fix like say Allow CC for Aliens or say Seasons Batch fix, didn't matter which one, it would screw up one of the CC. I have the most current patch of the game, up to date S4S, and I would remove the localthumbcache package every time before loading the game. Not all CC were affected though either. Just random ones like NotEgain's Nightcrawler's tail or these Mageweave socks I found for World of Warcraft.

I have not yet run into that issue. But I am running into an issue with merging files. I merged files and the file is there but now blank? Before I merged the file it was in my game and working.... Now... half of my cc is toast. Unless theres a way to fix the file... But days upon days of cc.... =(

If you were to un-merge the files, would they go back to the way it used to be? Still trying to understand how the whole merging works. I've seen some say that merging files helps with loading times. Others have said it caused them issues with their CC as you had said. Not sure what is the best option.
I've also been having issues with Batch fixes destroying CC that didn't have any issues prior to the Batch Fix. Good thing that I keep copies of all my original CC/Mods in back up folders.

If you have more CC than your game can handle, merging won't help -- you'll have fewer files, but you'll still have the same amount of stuff inside them. And merging stuff when you don't know what you're doing can cause big problems with your CC and your game. (Most people don't know what they're doing.)
I'd be very curious to see one of these "destroyed" files and its backup copy, as well as a list of exactly what batchfix or fixes were run on it.

One such package is NotEgain's Nightcrawler tail. I used it to make X-men's Nightcrawler of course. It works fine but when I do any of the "random" style batch fixes, it no longer shows up in CAS and is now missing. Luckily I have all my files backed up in another folder. There are other such files but this one was the easiest for you to try and google and find it. Since I have so many issues with Batch Fixes causing more problems than solving them, I'm hesitate about using it. I like S4S but it seems to have a few questionable issues and I'm unsure as being an amateur, if it's user error.

Without copies of both versions of the file, I can't investigate. I also need to know what batchfixes you used on the broken copy.

I'm unsure of how to upload the file to the forums, that's why I gave a detailed description of it so you can google it. I'm still new to all this and learning a little at a time, sorry. As far as which batch fixes I used they were the "Allow for" ones. Allow for Random, Allow for Aliens, Mermaids, Vampires and so on. Pretty much any of the batch fixes for CAS that "Allow for". All of them seemed to do it.

You can't upload files to the forums, but you can upload them to any filehosting site, such as Google Drive or Mediafire. (Be sure to set the file permissions to allow anyone with a link to access the file if you use Google Drive.) I cannot investigate what happened when you ran a batchfix without, at minimum, your "after" file, and preferably (in order to remove any possibility of crossups) also your "before" file.
