So, I wasn't sure which category to put this in, so I'm writing it here. I'm converting certain objects from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and I noticed some color differences in the diffuse compared to the in-game object. I thought, "okay, maybe the specular does something to it." I applied the object's regular normals and specular to the package and tried it in the Sims, but no... in fact, the specular makes it look totally different in the Sims compared to ACNH. Here are some screenshots:
Do speculars translate through all games, or are they specific depending on the game's engine? Or does Nintendo use a specific shader? Can I still use these speculars and just change the shader in my package? Or am I going to have to do custom speculars? Does anyone know about this stuff? Your help would be much appreciated.

I am still new to speculars myself, but I do know they do not translate, they are different for some (if not most) games. Like the TS3 specular will not function the same as TS4, as another example and a common one to run into when converting. You will have to make a new one, or adjust the existing one and see if you can get it to match, and I don't believe the shaders will help too much. If you can, I recommend searching on Google for any info related to ACNH's speculars and which colors do what. For Sims 4, you can find good info here about which colors do what, as well as here.
