I installed Blender 2.75 as it is the one now supported by the current version of Joy. I however noticed it is running very slow. I have all drivers up to date but now when I load a mesh I have to wait like a min every time after selecting any command. Is anyone ells experiencing the same thing? How can I fix this?

So it seams to have been a problem with my PC. I did a complete reinstall of windows and checked drivers and now it runs smoothly.

Any one have any ideas PLEAS? Within just less then a min working on a mesh and blender slows down if I click on anything it takes a good half to a full min or more to register.

Hey Kris,
This may be something that you will need to report to the Blender team. We are still supporting Blender 2.70 for reasons like this... 2.75 is new and nobody knows how it is going to work. Are you still able to use Blender 2.70 with the latest beta without these problems?

I tried installing 2.70 in a different location so I could test both but I have the same problem. I did not have this problem last week. I don't know whats going on.

Did this problem just start cropping up? If Blender was running right before and now it isn't it sounds like maybe something changed on your computer. I googled the issue and found a thread where someone else was having this problem. Maybe reading it will help you: www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13077Are all the other programs on your computer running normally and the change you're seeing is only with how Blender is running?

Ya its only blender all other programs run fine. I tried the adjusting hardware acceleration but that then made other things on my PC not run well. I don't know what the person on that form meant by "reset the OpenGL driver".

To be honest I'm not sure either. I've never run into the problem you're describing. I think the Blender people may be able to help more with it than anyone here...I wish I knew more about the issue and could be more helpful.

I agree with you...it would definitely be nice if Blender stepped up their support. It's very confusing and not intuitive. Also, I think to report a bug like the one you're encountering, it looks like you have to register as a Blender developer which is kind of outlandish. Did you try posting at one of the forums they list as Community Support sites?

I could not find out where on the Community Support sites to post it. I did however just register to post it as a bug. I have been getting response from them. So far nothing they have suggested have fixed the problem.

So I use a program called Driver Booster 2 to update drivers because its faster and easier then hunting down the drivers. Well I guess it installed a wrong graphics driver. So I went to Intel and got there driver and all works now.
