Hello,
So I play a mostly MM game and there's some Alpha hair styles that I really like but don't want because they're alpha. I was wondering if it was possible for someone here to find or make something similar to them. The most important one for me that I'm trying to find is a halfshave for men that's similar to Hysteria because I've needed hair like that for a while, and become frustrated that I can't find an MM hair similar to that at all. Thanks for any help.

What do you mean by Alpha and you play MM? I'm not fully understanding what you are looking for.

MM means Maxis Match as in the clay styled hair that came with Sims 4. These are all Alpha as in transparent and realistic. I love these meshes but the realism doesn't work well in the game, so I was wondering if someone could find/make hair like this in the clay style.

O ok. I was having a brain fart. Sorry I have never seen any created like how you want. Why don't you give it a try there is a tutorial HERE that shows the hair components to help you along.

I do make hair but right now I'm still at a basic editing stage so I figured I'd see what already exists first before I attempted. I won't give up trying, but if anyone is willing to do it though I will be so happy.

I was thinking this exact question some nights ago, I love to styles, but hate the transparency of it and would love to see them in the cartoony game style.
Does anyone know what the ethics are with something like this? Meaning, would recreating the mesh be considered break the terms of use? If the mesh is created from scratch and no part of the original hair was used? I've seen enough creators jump up and down over TOU to be weary. Would crediting the original for inspiration be enough?

That depends on the creators TOU. If you however take an EA mesh and redo it from scratch or just adjust it then you are fine. There just has to be an significant change to call it your own. As fo with a mesh made by another creator it's best to ask them directly what the would consider ok. Though I don't see a problem if you are just taking their picture and creating one from scratch.

If the mesh itself were from scratch in the same style then it's your mesh and you don't need to look at the TOU, but otherwise if you edit their mesh, you do.
