Hello, I've been working on a mod for my friends based on an in-joke we have. I cloned Blarffy and changed the mesh for all states using Blender and S4S 3.1.3.6. When I tested just the mesh change ingame the object worked fine. However, I wanted some interactions to be available to Sims without the insane or childish traits and I also wanted to update the buff icon and text to reflect the new object so I started modifying the tuning. I tweaked the tuning of the "Play" and "Hug" interactions so that they are available to all Sims, and then modified them to give custom buffs based on the originals but when I went to test my tuning changes ingame I found that Sims will now no longer walk to the object to perform interactions and will just perform them in-place. I have no idea how this could have happened given the changes I made but there must be something I changed or forgot to change without realising. Besides this positioning issue, everything else with the new interactions work fine. I've searched for the issue with no luck, and couldn't find anything in the common problems thread that described this issue (the closest thing I could find was an issue with a custom animation, which I'm not using). Here's the package file, apologies if it's messy or not very well made, I made it pretty much just to have a laugh with some friends: drive.google.com/file/d/1D1K5sgyRjuUq4l2taARjDL3O9a2U2Cz0/view?usp=sharing

When you copy interactions and make them custom they break the animations sometimes. When EA makes their animations they use something extra in their systems to keep things in check, but no one's really sure what the cause is. You'll have to add constraints and see if that fixes it. Sorry I don't have much more to add then that. D:

Constraints go in the interaction, near the top. Some of the interactions you made custom might have some already and may need to be adjusted. The TDESCs should have a bit more information for you to use, but studying other EA files is a good place to look for examples. TDESCs: forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/979025/1-65-70-tdescs#latestTDESC Browser: modthesims.info/d/618199/ts4-tuning-description-browser-windows-only.htmlConstraints will be under Interactions > Interaction > _constraints They look like this inside interactions: <L n="_constraints"> <U> <L n="constraints"> <U> <V n="value" t="facing" /> </U> </L> </U> <U> <L n="constraints"> <U> <V t="line_of_sight" n="value" /> </U> </L> </U> <U> <L n="constraints"> <U> <V n="value" t="circle"> <U n="circle"> <T n="ideal_radius">2</T> <T n="radius">3</T> </U> </V> </U> </L> </U> </L>

Thanks for the help. I'm still trying to get it working, the syntax is a little weird to get used to. So far I've not had much luck with the parameters and have only managed to cause Sims to be unable to find a path to the object but at least they're actually trying now. The TDESC browser is going to come in insanely useful.
