so I'm currently paying for photoshop 2020 as I could not find any older versions when I got my new computer, and it's really really good, but when I tried to recolor hairs, I couldn't figure out how to make it so that everything but the hair was transparent. I'd already recolored in cs6 before, and I looked at a bunch of tutorials, but I couldn't find any tutorials specifically for this version of PS, I messed around with it but still when opening it in S4S, the body was the same color as the hair. The only fix I've found so far is manually removing the background around the hair texture, but that's really troublesome when I've got 40+ colors to do on different hairs. Anyone know how to fix that? Below are screenshots of my nvidia plug in settings and what it looks like in S4S.

Hi. There's an easier approach to this in any version of photoshop - with Magic wand select all transparent area of the map, click Shift Ctrl I to invert the selection; - click on this button and select whatever you need, this will create a new layer with a mask. You can set it like you want, save as the image as png, then hide it, duplicate it, unhide the duplicated one, and change it again. This way all of your swatches will be in one pdf file and ready to be adjusted at any moment
