hi me again:)
I have a few questions about making hair with blender
1. can I apply modifiers?
2. I cannot capture my blender file(because of my computer error) so I talk about it...
Is this right? weight paint gradually comes down blue(top) - light blue - green - yellow - orange- red(bottom) I cant paist the picture...so I hope you understand what I said:)....
3. I wanna make alpha hair with blender, do I use plane mesh or grid mesh?

Hi. 1). You must apply all modifier for the exception of Armature ( it is added by default ); 2). Weight paint uses hot - cold type of system with red being the highest ( 1 ) and blue being the lowest ( 0 ) ( ignore "how it should be" ). These colors define how much influence and where each bone has on the mesh 3). There are many ways in which you can make hair, but its best to start from a low poly object and add subsurface modifier. The difference between grid and plane is that you can subdivide the grid uniformly in the ui.
