I'm trying to create a stand alone object from a door. Specifically, I want to get the pediment from this CC door and use it as a separate object. I've attempted to do this by modding the door itself but that seems to create a bunch of issues. I appreciate any advice.

Hi I would simply import the door in S4S, export the mesh in blender, remove the door and keep the pediment (maybe there will be a bit of work to "close" the mesh under where parts of the door are missing after erasing it - careful if you do that to not alter the original UVLAP if you want to keep the same texture). Then clone a wall object (any wall sculpture) and import the mesh of the pediment.
