I am planning to convert the meshes that I made for Sailfinsims during TS2 to TS4. There are only a few of them. The problem is that in order to extract CC meshes from TS2 package files you need SimPe. The only copy of TS2 I have left is the Ultimate Collection- SimPe does not work with UC.. unless you use a workaround that for some reason will not work for me . I have tried all the suggestions over at Simbology to get it working and no such luck. I was mostly planning to do this to get used to Blender since frankly the older meshes aren't that great. I find it very annoying to be unable to do this myself I really really do.
What I need is someone with TS2 and SimPe to
1. Extract meshes and textures via SimPe 2. Put them in Separate file folders labeled with what they are. 3. Upload them somewhere or send me a link
I will give full credit for your work and once I get used to the steps in the meshing process I must take in Blender e.g. shadows and exporting to S4S.. you get one free request from me for a mesh of your choice .. or a free recolor set

How many are there? I may be able to help with at least some of them. I have SimPE and the original disk-based TS2, and have no problem extracting Maxis stuff from the game. Haven't tried with other people's custom content but I can give it a shot.

deestarr, I've successfully extracted .obj's from my own Sims 2 content using SimPe and I do not have any version of Sims 2 installed at all. SimPe doesn't need the game installed to open pre-existing content and export the meshes/textures from it.

Okay I did not know that is that only if it is base game compatible items or all items. But may just scrap it anyway -- I went and looked at a lot of that stuff and it is awful.. I am just going to start again fresh
