I recently purchased Get to Work, but I've been extremely frustrated with the Doctor career. Despite the fact that there are 4 nurses, 2 doctors, a receptionist and then my own sim, only one or two patients out of the twelve standing in the lobby every day get seen because my sim (just a lowly orderly) is the only one doing anything. I would love to see a mod where: - The nurses autonomously make the beds, mop, and repair equipment.
- The assistant at the front desk (or the nurses) autonomously guides patients to the bed when one becomes available.
- Instead of standing idly by the bedside of a patient, the nurses actually take the patient's temperature, discuss general health, check eyes and ears, and take swabs.
- The nurses log patient medical records and update them.
- The doctors actually go and see the patients and prescribe them medication.
- The doctors run tests on patients.
- The doctors do ANYTHING but stand in the back room all day practicing on their Chemical Analyzer's and playing games on the computer.
I wish I had the necessary skills and appropriate OS to mod, otherwise I wouldn't be posting this request. If you have any idea how to fix the Doctor career. I will love you forever and everyone else probably will too. <3
plz halp.

This post mirrors my exact experience working in a hospital >.< There is this, which is the closest thing I've ever found. I've used it, and my people did an appropriate amount of work IMO: modthesims.info/download.php?t=556044

Haha, I have that mod in my game already. I've noticed with each promotion, the employees do a teency bit more work. I'm level 4 in the career now and the nurses will direct one or (on a good day) two patients to the beds for me. And I've also noticed that if you do at least two medical actions on a patient in bed (discuss health, take temp, check eyes, etc) one of the doctors will leave the back room and come diagnose the patient so you can give them meds or a shot.
Still tho, the career is so wonky and frustrating the way it is set up.
